HONs Wuntun House for a Simple Meal

Clay Pot Seafood Tofu

No matter how far we go for dinner or how great the dinner was, my family and I would always returned to HONS Wuntun House for a simple quick meal. Of all the places we have dined in, HONS Wuntun House is the restaurant that we have returned to the most.

The Cantonese cuisines served at HONS are not really spectacular or any special or more flavourful in comparison. But HONS is like a hometown restaurant. It is convenient, affordable, generous portions and the cuisines are decently good. There is no pressure or unnecessary expectations when ordering and paying. Waiters and waitresses do not look over your shoulder for a big fat tip. In fact, everything is kind of cool at HONS, people are friendly and all.

Smelt Fish in Spicy Rock Salt

Every time we dine at HONS, we would like to explore a new cuisine and mixed with some familiar ones. This particular instants we started with the Clay Pot Seafood Tofu which was a cuisine new to us. The Clay Pot Seafood Tofu cuisine was a mixed of fried tofu, fish fillet, shrimps, squid, mushroom, onions and pak choy cooked in soy sauce gravy.

The next cuisine in our menu was the Smelt Fish in Spicy Rock Salt cuisine which is a familiar cuisine to all of us. In fact, we nearly never miss this particular cuisine every time we dine at HONS. And not only is this a common Cantonese cuisine, it is favorite among patrons at HONS too.

Spicy Fried Shrimps

Our third cuisine was another seafood cuisine and also a familiar one. Looks like we are having an all seafood meal today.

Generally, HONS is pretty generous with the portions they serve and this is reason enough for the patrons to keep returning to this eatery. There are other restaurants next to this HONS location but they are no where near the capacity of HONS. Some were even empty when it was full house at HONS. HONS Wuntun House are located in four different locations managed by four different proprietors but serve similar Cantonese cuisines. Our favorite is the HONS in New Westminster on Sixth Street.
