King Noodle Restaurant Toronto

Stir Fried Crispy Noodle
On the way home to Vancouver, we stopped over in Toronto in time to grab a King's meal in Chinatown. We had earlier anticipated the transit time to be over ten hours. So, with that in mind we have already planned to make our way to Chinatown Toronto to enjoy a good meal. While we were walking along Spidina we saw many Chinese restaurants but we wanted to find Cantonese cuisines. And not too far a away from the place we parked the vehicle, may be three blocks away, we saw King Noodle Restaurant.

Stir Fried Beef Noodle
The diner was packed but there were one more table available when we walked in. The restaurant was a typical Chinese restaurant with mixed and diverse diners. Some were caucasians but mostly were Chinese. And a few with darker skin tone. I wanted to eat real authentic Chinese cuisines not those customized to fit the local taste. I guessed I have come to the right restaurant for Chinese food with so many Chinese diners. Any way before we placed our orders, we noticed the dishes that were served looked very much like authentic Chinese cuisines.

Yong Chow Fried Rice
After going through the menu, we actually ordered some of our typical Cantonese cuisines. We started with the stir fried crispy noodle and work down the list to the more common Cantonese cuisines. But before that we decided to order the main carbohydrate food first, since it is cold and we need more food to produce energy to warm up. We followed with the stir fried beef noodle and the yong chow fried rice. All the three carb cuisines were pretty authentic. Not really the best in flavours and taste but will do for authenticity.

Roasted Duck
We also ordered the roasted duck, which Toronto's Chinatown is famous for. Anyway we do not fancy roasted duck very much but we wanted to try out. As it turned out the roasted duck with the gravy that was poured on to it made the whole cuisine too salty, at least too salty for us. We also ordered one of our kids' favorite. The honey garlic pork ribs which was listed in their menu. This particular cuisine was liked by the kids. And, we were also served with a complimentary soup before our meal was served. In general, we were satisfied with the dining experience in King Noodle Restaurant.
