Cambodian Fried Chicken Wings |
There is this Cambodian Restaurant in Chinatown on Keefer Street that is famous for their fried chicken wings, according to our friends. So, one day we went to dine in the restaurant and since that one time we have experimented and learned their recipe. We have served this Cambodian style fried chicken wings to friends and they liked them. Is is pretty close in taste and flavour to the fried chicken wings served in that Cambodian restaurant.

Cambodian Style |
And this style of fried chicken wings is also our kids' favorite. Yesterday, we fried up about two dozen chicken wings with this recipe. My kids cleared the whole plate of fried chicken wings within minutes. The trick in making this fried chicken wings flavourful is in the preparation. Other than the right flour mix, it is the cold temperature of the chicken wings when they go into the hot oil. The chicken wings have to be fried while they were still cold.

Ginger Garlic Steam Jumbo Prawns |
Another cuisine that we have learned from our dining experience is ginger garlic steam jumbo prawns which we have had in one of the Chinese restaurant in Richmond. After tasting the seafood cuisine, we noticed that it was not that difficult to cook the cuisine at home. So we experimented and go it right the first time. And we have been cooking prawns these way very often at home. We try to introduce a new cuisine in our cooking once in awhile especially after tasting the cuisine when we dine out and if it is not too difficult to figure out the ingredients.
