Asam Steam Fish

Asam Steamed Fish
We had to prepare dinner really quick yesterday because the kids had extracurricular activities and we arrived home with just barely enough time to cook rice. Luckily, before the wife left for work today, she had took out a fish from the freezer and had began to thaw it. So, I cleaned the fish and put some chopped pickled mustard on the fish with some asam buih (salted and dried key lime). This is one of my mom's fish recipe.

Egg Omelet
We don't always cook fish this way but while the fish is being steamed, it leaves us time to prepare another cuisine. The next fast and easy cuisine that could think of at that time were fried egg omelet. So, I wisked up a couple of eggs, add a pinch of salt and some chopped onions into a hot frying pan. Within thirty minutes I have two cuisines and the rice ready to serve. The kids and us got our dinners and we were done within forty five minutes.
